Ingo Swann — "I'm Wrong" Out Now / 3 Poisons LP Coming August 21

We've been holding this one close for a while, and we're proud to finally get it out into the world: Ingo Swann's debut single for à La Carte, "I'm Wrong," is out today — and with it comes the full announcement of their debut label album, 3 Poisons, arriving August 21.

If you were paying attention to the Detroit underground a few years back, you might recognize some of the names here. Ingo Swann features former members of Pity Sex and Brave Bird — but this record doesn't sound much like either of those projects. It's colder, more immediate, and harder to shake. 3 Poisons lives somewhere between gothic post-punk and EBM: churning synths, guitar lines that burrow in and refuse to leave, anchored throughout by Chris Liu's cavernous baritone. Think early Cold Cave, Lust For Youth — that territory, but distinctly their own.

The band is named after the famously government-contracted psychic, which should give you some sense of the angle they're working. Their 2025 debut Hunger (Setterwind Records) announced a project with a commanding grip on gothic post-punk; 3 Poisons takes that foundation and pushes further — weaving EBM influences into an emotional framework that feels simultaneously colder and more direct. Seven tracks that move from the propulsive opener "I'm Wrong" through the bruised introspection of closer "Peach Plum Pear," never settling for comfort, always reaching for something just out of frame.

3 Poisons arrives August 21 on two limited 12" vinyl variants: a blue and white marble pressing (limited to 100 copies) and a white pressing (limited to 200). Digital everywhere.
