Pleasure Pill are officially stepping into the spotlight. The San Diego five-piece—Jonah Paz (vocals), Ethan Paz (rhythm guitar), Luke Blake (lead guitar), Ivan Delgado (bass), and Dom Friedly (drums)—have announced their debut album, Hang A Star, arriving June 27 via à La Carte Records. Over the past few years, they’ve cultivated a reputation as fervent revivalists of a certain British rock and roll lineage: the rattling, amphetamine-laced energy of The Kinks, the sharp hooks of The Undertones, the slick urbanity of The Style Council, and the hypnotic pulse of Primal Scream. Now, they’re taking that vision full-scale.
