• About

Washington, D.C.’s Seclusion have been steadily building a name for themselves on the strength of a sound that feels both timeworn and freshly carved. On Sobrevivencia, their debut LP, the band leans fully into the tension between classic oi grit and the heavier, wide-angle punch of modern hardcore. You can hear echoes of The 4 Skins and The Last Resort in the bones of these songs, but they’re animated by the same restless energy that drives bands like Fucked Up and 86 Mentality—urgent, melodic, and unafraid to hit with conviction.

Since dropping their No Recourse demo in late 2024, Seclusion have lived on the road, sharing stages with Sheer Terror, The Spits, and Béton Armé, and tightening their lineup into a unit that moves with purpose. Mough, Pat, Shawn, Laura, and Toner approach Sobrevivencia as more than just a debut; it’s a statement of values, “dedicated to all those in struggle for human, earth, and animal liberation.” That sense of resolve runs through the record’s toughest moments and its most tuneful ones, giving the album a weight that lingers long after the needle lifts.
