Nuxx Vomica Announces “Bird Brain” Single, EP and Compilation Release
Nuxx Vomica is continuing her frenetic pace. The industrial-EBM project of Madeline Seely is, simply put, not fucking around. Nuxx is returning with a new-look five song EP, preceded by lead single and title track “Bird Brain” (co-produced with Uniform’s Ben Greenberg). After spending the year criss-crossing North America, and making her European debut, Nuxx is ready for redefinition. She’s taken to calling it Electronic Bitch Music.
After spending the early part of the decade rolling around on NYC’s dingiest floors, Nuxx is brushing some of the dirt off. Bird Brain is Nuxx’s red-carpet rollout. She’s pulling a faux-fur coat over the latex bodysuit and shedding the black lights for spotlights. Bird Brain is music for reinvention. Cutting every shirt you own into a crop top. Dying your own hair without reading the package. The songs demand you dance—at the club, in the driver's seat, or in your mirror dripping mascara. It’s less who you are and more what you are. "Bird Brain" will be available on all streaming platforms on January 9, 2025, with the full EP following on May 2, 2025.
A physical compilation featuring the Bad Brain EP, No Money Single, and FTEV EP will be available via à La Carte Records.
Nuxx Vomica is the electro project of musician and visual artist Madeline Seely, whose gritty, high-energy sound blends elements of EBM, 90's techno, drum and bass, and digital hardcore. Nuxx began with the release of 2020’s A Different Place EP, and has continued with releases on NYC Label Synthicide - the FTEV EP and No Money single. Nuxx will be releasing her new EP Bird Brain on Synthicide, and a vinyl compilation with à La Carte Records on May 2nd, 2025.
Known for her electrifying live performances, Seely has taken Nuxx on tours across North America, Europe, and Mexico. Her high-energy sets provide the audience with a raw, immersive experience. From the festival stage to the floor of a basement, Nuxx never fucks around.
