About
Gris Futuro is a Mexico City–based minimal synth duo formed in 2021 by Lithuanian vocalist Eglė Naujokaitytė and Mexican synthesist Rogelio Serrano (also known as Equinoxious). United by a fascination with Brutalist architecture, analog circuitry, and the raw electricity of early synth pioneers, the pair create music that resists digital polish in favor of imperfection, unpredictability, and human touch.
Working exclusively with hardware synthesizers and vintage drum machines, Gris Futuro build a sound that is stark yet hypnotic—part ode to the pioneers of minimal wave, part vision of a future still wired to the past. Naujokaitytė’s poetic, multilingual vocals drift across Serrano’s modular sequences, weaving together themes of subconscious landscapes, sensory experiences, and identity under pressure. The result is music that feels at once austere, sensual, and quietly transcendent.
In their short time together, the duo has already shared stages across Latin America and Europe with acts like Lebanon Hanover, Xeno & Oaklander, and Das Ding, and released music through labels including Industrial Coast, Mechatronica, and Elektro Palast. Their debut full-length, Nowadaze (out November 7, 2025 via à La Carte Records), distills their analog futurism into its purest form—a living document of minimal synth’s enduring pulse.
