Step Into the Glass: Gris Futuro Release “Mirror-Self”
Mexico City’s Gris Futuro unveil their latest single “Mirror-Self” today, the second glimpse into their forthcoming debut LP Nowadaze (out November 7 on à La Carte Records).
Where September’s “Shine (A Neon Light)” reached upward with a pulsing sense of urgency, “Mirror-Self” turns inward. It’s a track that thrives on tension: serrated analog rhythms locking into hypnotic repetition while Eglė Naujokaitytė delivers vocals that feel both detached and deeply personal. The song pulls from the DNA of minimal synth’s pioneers but carries the duo’s unmistakable sense of immediacy—less a retro exercise than a dialogue with the present.

With Nowadaze approaching, Gris Futuro continue to prove that imperfection, electricity, and human touch still belong at the center of electronic music.
