Bleakness return with Life at a Standstill, their highly anticipated sophomore album. Featuring members of Amanda Woodward, Exhaustion, Karysun, and Chaviré, the Lyon-based trio expand their sound into darker, more atmospheric territory while retaining the urgency that has defined their music from the start.

The record draws from post-punk, dark punk, and deathrock traditions, weaving in shadowy textures with driving rhythms and stark melodies. Lead single Dancing with Darkness captures this evolution perfectly—restless, brooding, and immediate—paired with a video featuring footage from the band’s 2019 tour with Greek post-punk heroes Chain Cult.
